Ring of Fire

The volcanoes in Indonesia are among the most active of the Pacific Ring of Fire which includes New Zealand, Indonesia, Himalay's, Japan, Alaska, Canada, Calfornia, Mexico and Latin America. 

A chain of 452 volcanoes and is home to over 75% of the world's active and dormant volcanoes.

The most active volcano is Merapi on Java island.

Since AD 1000, Merapi has erupted more than 80 times. 

It started again last week and . . . . it is not over yet.
